I began my career as an early interventionist working with primarily Latinx families in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since 2012 I have lived in Aiken, South Carolina where I began working as a school psychologist. I currently work for Public Consulting Group focused on supporting the MTSS early warning system in North Carolina. I also serve as the Co-Chair for the South Carolina Learning Disorders Taskforce. I served as a school psychologist, Coordinator of Evaluation and Student Services for Aiken County Schools and as the Past President of the South Carolina Association of School Psychologists. I have presented at many state and national conferences on subjects as varied as field studies, learning disabilities, and RTI. I am an advocate for multi-tiered systems of support and addressing the needs of all students. I am experienced in the assessment of high incidence disabilities such as dyslexia, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and trauma-informed practice. I completed my graduate studies at the University of Utah, and I currently live with my wife and four kids in Aiken, South Carolina.
I started Beehive Education LLC to continue to work with children and families. I love helping parents, teachers, and students understand more about themselves and how to turn their perceived weaknesses into strengths. Beehive Education is not my full-time job and therefore I am very selective in the clients I am able work with and the amount of private work that I take on. I apologize in advance if I am unable to take your case. I am happy to provide referrals to other providers in the area.
Beehive Education is committed to providing the highest quality services and comprehensive evaluations for clients. Participation with insurance companies usually restricts the nature of evaluations that can be performed. Mr. Young is not a participating provider of any insurance. However, insurance carriers may reimburse the cost for part or all of evaluation services, even from non-participating providers. All plans and policies are different and Beehive Education cannot guarantee reimbursement. Contacting your insurance company regarding your coverage benefits may prove helpful in determining reimbursable costs.
Payment for services is based on the nature of the services requested. After an initial conversation, you will be provided with a quote for the services requested. Payment is required for services when they are rendered.
