Consultation is often sought by parents and guardians when their child is struggling in some way. It may be a concern with their child's performance at school, their behavior and/or difficulty knowing what to do to help. School issues may arise and parents may need support knowing how they can partner with the school to support their child.
Mr. Young has over 10 years experience working in a school district as a school psychologist and special education administrator. He knows how to navigate the sometimes complicated and overwhelming worlds of section 504 plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). He understands how to communicate the highly complex assessment results and can assist parents and school teams in understanding how a child learns in order to identify and develop effective interventions and accommodations. He understands special education law and has experience in helping children and families work with their school team to ensure students receive what they need.
